The Bratcher tradition was established in 1944. Mr. Norman Bratcher bought this historic funeral home, then Short-Murray, in 1944. At that time, he changed the name to Bratcher-Moore. Mr. Bratcher was so successful at helping families and friends in their time of grief that the name was changed to the current name, Bratcher Funeral Home, in 1957.
